Approved Care and Support will do everything to put your mind at ease, give you relevant information. If we cant give you the information you need we maybe able to point you in the right direction to get the information needed.
We have put a few questions together, these are questions that we have been asked over time and hope they can give you some guidance. Please get in touch if you would like further questions answered.
My family/friend needs a little extra help but i'm not sure exactly what they need?
When you contact Approved Care and Support, a member of the office team will arrange for someone to come and visit you/them and have an informal chat, guide you and agree support that may be needed from Approved Care and Support.
What will you do for me?
We will discuss and agree a 'Care Plan' which will detail agreed actions for your individual Care and Support you need.
Can I go out and about?
Yes, this would be built into your Care Plan. Accessing the local community can be vital to allow you to live Your life.
How quick can support be provided?
This would depend on your needs, locatiion and our work capacity. We will always try to accomodate.
How much will my care cost?
You will have an assessment, this will give you an idea of how many visits you need and how much time this will take, then we can work the cost out and give you the information reuired to make and informed decision.
How will I pay for my care?
We will send you an invoice each week, you can pay either by, setting up a standing order, by cheque or internet banking and cash, the choice would be your.
Will I get financial support for my care?
This would depend on your own personal circumstances, We would always suiggest you speak with your local Age UK representitive if you are unsure.
Will I still receive care on Bank Holidays?
You will always receive care on the days that you want the care, this would include Bank Holidays
What if I need to speak to someone when the office is closed?
We have an 'Out of Hours' service to deal with any emergency, this is your contact when the office is closed, we would always encourage all calls to be made to the office if your call is not an emergency.
Will I still be able to have care if i have pets?
Yes, we would inform all staff members of what pets you have.
